Local communities

The municipality of Petrovo has 7 local communities: Petrovo, Kakmuž, Kaluđerica, Karanovac, Krtova, Porječina and Sočkovac with a total population of about 10,000 inhabitants.

The administrative center of the municipality is in the municipality of Petrovo.

The work of the registry office is established in the municipality building, where various documents are issued to citizens such as: birth certificates and citizenship certificates, death certificate, etc.

The representatives of the local communities work within the framework of the Local Community Council, which decides on priority issues of importance for the local community. There are regular, direct, contacts between the local government and the population such as public hearings on budget adoption and adoption, various decisions, etc. Also, when deciding on issues of paramount importance for residents of local communities, citizens’ meetings are held.
