PRESS RELEASE                                                                                                           Development of the Local Environmental Action Plan (LEAP) began in the Municipality of Petrovo.

Municipal assembly, on the session held on 28.05.2010.  adopted Decision on preparation of Local Environmental Action Plan ( LEAP) for the Municipality of Petrovo, where the mayor MD Zoran Blagojevic, was appointed for the implementation of this decision.

Local environmental action plan includes assessment of the environment, establishing a community vision, setting priorities, determining the most appropriate strategy to remedy the problems and implement actions that will lead to real improvement of the environment.

Mayor of the Municipality of Petrovo MD Zoran Blagojevic  appointed Miss BojanaRistic for coordinator of LEAP as well as members of the project team :

1.Bojana Ristic, Coordinator – President of a municipal Board of Directors,
2.Draženka Maksimovic, Municipality of Petrovo , The Head of Department for Planning, Housing and Communal Services , member
3.Dragica Pejic, Municipality of Petrovo, Head of Desk for Development, member
4.Spomenka Petkovic, Municipality of Petrovo, Independent Expert in managing of development, member
5.Zoran Trifkovic, Municipality of Petrovo, Municipal policemen, member
6.Nebojša Trifkovic, Municipality of Petrovo , Department of Economy, Finance and Social Services, member
7.Julijana Cvjetkovic , Municipality of Petrovo , Department of Spatial Planning, Housing and Communal Services, member.

Municipal project team has defined the Action Plan for development of LEAP and LEAP Promotion Plan of the Municipality of Petrovo.  Mayor MD Zoran Blagojevic, adopted Action Plan and Promotion Plan for LEAP with municipal decision from 23.02.2011.

The process of drafting the Local Environmental Action Plan (LEAP) will last one year. Phases of development of LEAP will be exceeded systematically and throughout the process public will be continually informed and the citizens will be asked for their opinions, comments and suggestions.

This project in Municipality of Petrovo is implemented within the MDG-F Program of preserving the environment and climate changes.

PRESS RELEASE                                                                                                          General working group (WG) formed for the preparation of LEAP for Municipality of Petrovo.


In accordance with the approved plan of activities for development of the LEAP for the Municipality of Petrovo, 24.02.2011, mayor Zoran Blagojevic issued a Decision of the establishment of the General Working Group (WG) for the preparation and development of LEAP for the Municipality of Petrovo, No. 02-014 -1-41/11.

General  working group (WG) has 50 members and it is composed of interested parties, representatives of: municipal services, Councilors of municipal assembly , public enterprises, educational and health institutions, business sector, NGOs (nongovernmental organizations / associations), local communities, religious communities and individuals whose activities are related to issues of environmental protection.

General working group for LEAP of the Municipality of Petrovo has a consulting role in the process of developing Local Environmental Action Plan of the Municipality of Petrovo.

This project in Municipality of Petrovo is implemented within the MDG-F Program of preserving the environment and climate changes.
